A nonprofit based in Brooklyn has landed a roughly $83.2 million contract from the city to run more than 450 units of supportive housing.
The St. Nicks Alliance Corp., headquartered in East Williamsburg, is receiving the funds from the city's Department of Social Services/Human Resources Administration to maintain and operate 459 housing units for clients of the HIV/AIDS Services Administration and their families, according to the nonprofit and a notice published Tuesday in the city record. HASA is a city-run program that provides case management for people living with HIV or AIDS and helps them apply for public benefits such as Medicaid and rental assistance.
